  • Most people come back every two to three weeks

  • Walk in, or book it with a barber

A straight razor with a black handle lies open on a white background.

In the chair

What happens, step by step

  1. 01

    Step 1: Talk it through

Your barber checks your hairline and how your hair grows, and asks where you want the edge. About 2 minutes.

  2. 02

    Step 2: Trim and shape

A small trimmer draws the line across the forehead, the temples and the neck. About 6 minutes.

  3. 03

    Step 3: Razor the edge

Warm lather and a straight razor with a new blade clean the line. About 7 minutes.

  4. 04

    Step 4: Finish

A hot towel, a brush and a look in the mirror from every side. About 3 minutes.
